cabin floor esoterica 2015, edition of 100
glorious outsider folk balladry, boozy storytelling with wry religious overtones, woozy guitar, atmospheric synth backdrops, haunted church organ drone, kinda like O ANNIHILATOR part two, JOURNEYER crosses into the otherworldly, perhaps the same central figure, a down and out balladeer in his waning days setting out to turn secular into sacred with a measure of hope that is dashed on JOURNEYER - "god is great and god is good, but the body's better" - side 2 is completely stripped down, just the lonesome balladeer and his stoic guitar, returning to the run down appalachian scene of O ANNIHILATOR much worse for wear -- still available from CFE with drool worthy packaging as always
